1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 cups confectioners' sugar
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix the peanut butter, vanilla, powdered sugar. (The dough will look dry).
2. Roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Place a toothpick into the top of each ball.
3. Freeze until very firm, at least 30 minutes.
4. Melt chocolate chips over stove (double boiler works best) until smooth.
5. Dip frozen peanut butter balls in chocolate, holding the toothpick. Leave a portion of the peanut butter showing so it resembles its' namesake nut (the buckeye).
5. Remove the toothpick and pinch the hole shut.
6. Refrigerate until serving.
