1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1 c. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and shortening 2 minutes. Add sugar and beat 5-7 minutes. Add eggs one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to mixture alternately with milk ending with flour. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees 1 1/2 hours. Cool 10-15 minutes. Remove from pan.
