1 pkg. German chocolate,2 C sugar, 1 C butter, 2 1/2 C flour, 1 C buttermilk, 4 egg yokes(unbeaten),
1 t vanilla, 1 t soda, 1/2 t salt and 4 egg whites.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix chocolate and water,cream butter and sugar add egg yokes one at a time. Sift all dry ingredients. Alternate flour and milk fold in stiffly beaten egg whites last.
Frosting
Combine 1 C carnation milk, 1 C sugar, 3 egg yokes, 1 stick butter, 1 t vanilla. cook and stir over med heat for about 12 min. until thick add 1 1/3 C coconut, 1 C chopped nuts. Beat until smooth then spread.
