Boiling Water
1 tsp. salt

1 & 1/2 lbs. ground beef
salt & pepper to taste
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups milk
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 [28oz.] can diced tomatoes

stuffing [ as for a turkey]

Directions:
Directions:
Make a stuffing as for a turkey & set aside.
Brown ground beef, add onion & cook until onion is soft. Add salt & pepper to taste.
Meanwhile bring water & salt to boil in a dutch oven [ about 3/4 full ] & add macaroni. Cook 10 min., drain in collander & put back in same pot.
Add margarine & cheese. Stir until melted.
Add milk, ground beef, tomatoes & stir to mix well.
Spread stuffing over top & bake at 350 for about 30 min. If necessary to brown, leave in oven & broil, watching carefully until golden[ about 5 min ]
