3 cups flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups shortening
pinch of salt
3 eggs in a measuring cup, add an equal amount of milk
1 cup apricot preserves
2 cans of prepared cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, shortening. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Pat 1/2 the dough on a greased cookie sheet. Spoon apricot preserves over dough, then cherry pie filling. Put other half of dough on top in little circles. dough will spread as it bakes.
Bake 350ºuntil dough is brown.
