2 c sugar
5 large beaten eggs
2 c milk
2 tsp vanilla
3 c cubed Italian bread, dry
1 c packed light brown sugar
1/4 c butter, softened
1 c chopped pecans

For sauce:
1 c sugar
1/2 c butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 c brandy

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 13"x9"x2" pan. Mix together sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla and pour over bread. Let sit for 10 min. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, butter and pecans. Pour bread mixture into prepared pan. Sprinkle with sugar mixture. Bake 35-45 min or until set.

To prepare sauce: mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add brandy, stirring well. Pour over bread pudding.
