Italian Shrimp Pasta Recipe

1 lb. pasta (your choice)
1/2 lb. chopped bacon
1 chopped onion
2 T minced garlic
1 C white wine or vodka
1 C chicken broth
3/4 C heavy cream
29-ounce can diced tomatoes
1/2 C lemon juice
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 T basil, salt and pepper
2 lb. shelled shrimp, rinsed and drained well
1/2 C Parmesan cheese.

Saute bacon until crisp and remove. Drain all but 2 Tbsp bacon fat. Saute onions until translucent and add garlic and shrimp and continue cooking until shrimp turn pink. Add wine or vodka, chicken broth, tomatoes, lemon juice, basil, salt and pepper. Simmer while pasta is cooking and add cream and cheese during the last 10 minutes. Add al dente pasta (not soft) and let sit 15-20 min. so pasta absorbs the liquid. Toss with the bacon and serve with Parmesan cheese.
