2 T Ground pecans, 1 1/2 C butter softened, 1 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, 2 C packed brown sugar, 1 C sugar, 3 C flour, 5 eggs, 1/2 t baking power, 1 t vanilla, 1/4 t salt, 1 t maple extract, 1/4 C milk and 1 C chopped pecans toasted,

Heat oven to 350 Grease a 10" tube pan. Sprinkle with ground pecans, coating bottom and sides of pan. In a large bowl, beat 1 1/2 C butter, cream cheese, 2 C brown sugar and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time beating well after each addition.
In small bowl, combine flour, baking power and salt; mix well.Add vanilla and maple extract to milk. Add flour mixture to buttermixture alternately with milk,beginning and ending with flour mixture. Fold in pecans. Pour into greased and coated pan.
Bake at 350 for 65 to 80 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not open oven door for the first hour of baking. Cool upright in pan 10 min invert onto cooling rack. Cool completely.
GLAZE
In a small sauce pan melt 2 T Butter with 2 T brown sugar. Bring to a boil; boil until thickened stirring constantly. Remove from heat stir in1/2 C confectioners sugar 1to 2 T hot water and 1 t vanilla adding enough water for the desired glaze consistency. Spoon over cake
