6-8 large apples (Jonathon or Gala work well)
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
dash nutmeg(optional)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup margarine or butter

1 recipe plain pastry

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and pour over sliced or diced apples. Put into 8 or 9 inch pastry lined pie pan. Mix flour, brown sugar, & white sugar, cut in margarine or butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture in pie pan. Bake 400, 40 to 50 minutes.
