1 14-16 oz. bag wrapped caramels
1/3 cup half and half
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup half and half (for cake)
1 cups pecans, chopped
12-oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels and 1/3 c. cream together in microwave, set aside. Combine mix, butter, 1/3 cup half and half and nuts. Lightly pat half of the mixture in a 9 x 13" greased pan. Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over cake. Pour melted caramel over this. Crumble the other half of cake mix evenly over the top and bake another 15-20 minutes. Cool and refrigerate several hours before serving. Enjoy--they are very rich.
