"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Cake:
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 cup for topping)
16 oz. sour cream
3 eggs

2/3 cup reserved cake mix
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Mix topping ingredients together and set aside. Beat 3 eggs, stir in sour cream and cake mix. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan. Top with 1/2 of topping. Pour in remaining batter; top with remaining topping. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. Drizzle with thin vanilla icing. Note: Can substitute orange and other flavored cake mixes for vanilla. Can also substitute toasted coconut for walnuts in topping. Could also add well-drained mandarin orange segments or crushed pineapple in the center with coconut topping for a tropical flair (orange or pineapple cake mix).
