1 cup butter (2 sticks)
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 T. water
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped almonds (blanched)
red hots

Directions:
Directions:
Cram butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add water. Add flour and mix well. Stir in almonds. Form into crescents 2 inches long. Decorate with red hots.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 300 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Roll in powdered sugar while still hot. Sprinkle with colored sugar if desired. Makes 2 dozen.
