2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup nuts/finely chopped (optional)
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 12 oz. package chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar and vanilla until STIFF PEAKS. Add sugar gradually. Beat again until STIFF PEAKS. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips. Cover cookie sheet with a paper towel. Spoon dollops of batter onto the cookie sheet. Bake at 300 for 25 minutes or until very light brown. Remove from paper towel immediately.

The chocolate is the surprise inside! These cookies look really pretty when on a tray with other cookies. they taste good, too, and are very light and fluffy!
