1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 1/2 quarts strawberries
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Set aside 1 quart fresh strawberries. Crush remaining berries; add sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook on low until thick and transparent. Remove from heat and add butter. Place whole berries in pie shell; pour cooked mixture over top. Chill. Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
