1/2 Cup Margarine or Butter (Softened)
1/2 Cup Imperial 10X Powdered Sugar
1/2 Cup Imperial Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1/3 Cup Cooking Oil
2 Cups Plus 1 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp. Soda
1/2 Tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 Tsp. Vanilla

Directions:

In 1-1/2 quart mixing bowl, cream margarine or butter and Imperial Sugars, add egg, beating well. Add oil and beat until light and fluffy. Occasionally scraping bottom and sides of bowl. Sift together flour, soda and cream of tartar. Add to first mixture and blend well. Stir in vanilla. Chill dough for several hours, until very firm. Shape chilled dough into walnut sized balls and place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Dip buttered glass bottom in Imperial granulated sugar and use to flatten each ball. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 10 minutes.
