1/2 c. butter or shortening
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1/2 c. milk
3 3/4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Add milk, vanilla and soda. Add flour gradually. Turn dough onto floured surface. Work by hand 5 minutes. Roll out about 1/2 inch thick and cut with cutter. Bake at 375 degrees about 5 minutes.
