1 Cup Buttermilk
1/4 Tsp. Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Cup Cornmeal

Directions:
Directions:
Mix buttermilk and soda, then add salt and cornmeal.

Can make corn sticks or pan cornbread. Have pans very hot and greased well before adding mixture. Bake at 425 degrees for about 15 to 18 minutes.

Remember Ma Ma just always put her buttermilk in a bowl, added a pinch of soda, a dash of salt and enough cornmeal for the "just right" consistency.
