Thick sliced bacon
Olive oil
Garlic salt
Pepper
Parmesan cheese (and/or Mozzarella cheese)

Gently rinse asparagus spears and snap off ends. Place asparagus in zip lock baggie with a couple Tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon garlic salt, and pepper to taste. Close zip lock baggie and shake bag until asparagus is completely coated. Place baggie in refrigerator. (can be placed in refrigerator 2-3 hours)

Place 6-8 slices of bacon in fry pan and fry until bacon is cooked, but pliable. Drain bacon on paper towels.

Wrap 6-8 asparagus spears (in center) with bacon, making a bundle. Continue until all spears are wrapped. Place bundles on baking sheet making sure to place the open end of the bacon on the underside, and then sprinkle tops with Parmesan (and/or Mozzarella) cheese.

Cook in 400º oven for 11-12 minutes, or until desired tenderness. (Can also be broiled)

Serve immediately.

Kelley says: "These bundles are great to serve to guests, as they provide a nice presentation. Even people who don't care for asparagus may like these. Who wouldn't love bacon on anything! Some, who are trying to watch calories, will remove the bacon wrap prior to eating. But, the bacon grease goodness is still there."
