3 cups of sugar
1 cup of chopped nuts
1 pound of dates
1 cup of sweet milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract

1 cup of chopped nuts
1 pound of dates
1 cup of sweet milk
1 tsp of vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Remove the stones from dates and dice them. Place the sugar, dates and milk on the stove top. Boil until the mixture reaches a soft ball stage. Then remove from the stove top and add the nuts and vanilla extract. Beat until it is thick and creamy, then pour on a dampened cloth and form into a long loaf. Wrap and lay in the refrigerator to cool. Cut into slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
