2 cups brown sugar
2 cups sugar
2 cups butter or (1 cup butter, 1 cup shortening)
4 eggs
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped nut (optional)
1 large bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugars, butters, eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes. Do not overbake.
