6 egg whites, beaten til stiff
3/4 tsp cream of tartar

2 c sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 c chopped nuts
2 c crushed saltine crackers.

1/2 pt whip cream, whipped with sugar and vanilla to taste

1 can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites and add cream of tartar until it forms stiff peaks. Carefully fold in the sugar, nuts, vanilla and crackers. Bake 20 min at 350 in 9 x 13 greased pan. Cool overnite covered with wax paper. Spread crust with the whipped cream mixture and top with the cherry pie filling. Chill 3 hours.
