1/2 c. (1 cube) butter, softened
3 T. honey
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped red candied cherries
3/4 c. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cream butter. Beat in honey. Gradually mix in flour, salt, then vanilla. Add pecans and cherries. Gather dough together and wrap in plastic wrap to form a long log about 2 inches in diameter. Chill dough for an hour. Slice cold cookie log into 1/3 inch slices and place on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until very pale golden. Remove from cookie sheets and sprinkle with powdered sugar while still hot. Sprinkle once more after cookies have cooled.
