1 c. unbleached or all-purpose flour
1 c. whole-wheat flour
1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/3 c. butter or margarine
2 egg whites
2 Tbsp. 1% milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate pieces or morsels

Preheat oven to 375ºF. Coat baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
In large bowl, combine unbleached or all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
In another large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter or margarine, egg whites, milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Stir in chocolate pieces.
Drop by rounded teaspoonful, 2" apart, on the prepared baking sheets. Bake 10 - 12 mins, or until lightly browned around the edges. Remove cookies to racks to cool.

Very good! But keep in airtight container to keep them soft, the crust can get pretty crispy.
