1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup sour cream
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

Whip shortening and sugar together. Add all other ingredients.
Bake at 375º for about 8-9 minutes

These are so good with cream cheese frosting. I always make them around Halloween or Christmas. It is kind of a tradition.
