MIX:
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt

CUT IN:
2/3 c. shortening

MIX IN WITH RUBBER SCRAPER:
6 to 7 tbsp. ice water

SHAPE DOUGH INTO TWO BALLS. ROLL EACH OUT.

Filling

MIX TOGETHER AND LET SIT FOR 10 MIN.:
5 to 6 apples sliced up (green types are best)
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of salt

LINE PIE PAN WITH 1 CRUST.
PUT APPLE FILLING IN AND PUT 1 TO 2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER IN SMALL PIECES ON TOP IF DESIRED
PLACE TOP CRUST ON
TRIM EDGES TO 1/4in. OVER PAN EDGE
TUCK TOP UNDER BOTTOM CRUST
SEAL & DECORATE EDGE AS DESIRED
BEAT 1 EGG AND ADD A LITTLE WATER AND BRUSH THIS ON TOP OF THE TOP PIE CRUST. THEN SPRINKLE SUGAR ON IT.

PLACE ON COOKIE SHEET. BAKE FOR 30 MIN. TURN OVEN DOWN TO 300° FOR 30 MIN.
