* 2 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 4 cloves garlic, crushed
* 1 teaspoon red chile flakes
* 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon celery seed
* 3 cups ketchup
* 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce
* 1 teaspoon Louisiana Hot Sauce
* black pepper to taste

1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the onion, garlic, red chile pepper flakes, and celery seeds onion is tender. Stir in brown sugar and stir til sugar has melted. Mix in ketchup and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat to low, and simmer 10 minutes. Taste test and adjust heat as needed. Add salt if needed.

Store extra sauce in container with lid up to 1 month in fridge.
