1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 cups flour
1 cup flaked coconut
3 cups quick rolled oats
1/2 cups chopped nuts
2 eggs - beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Blend sugar and shortening, add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture. Stir in vanilla, coconut, oatmeal and nuts. Mix well and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until light brown.
