3 C. cake flour
2 C. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. buttermilk
1 C. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
SAUCE:
3/4 C. sugar
3 T. water
1/3 C. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. rum flavor

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Grease a 12-cup fluted tube or bundt pan.
Combine all cake ingredients and beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
Pour into greased pan and bake 60-70 minutes until done.
In meantime, make sauce.
Combine all ingredients in heavy pan. Heat to just under a boil and remove from heat.
When cake is done, remove from oven, prick cake all over with long tined fork or slim kabob skewer.
Pour hot sauce over cake.
Cool and remove from pan.
