1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2/3 cube butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs, salt and baking power, then add milk, vanilla and flour. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Put pats of the butter over the top and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on that. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. You can also add chopped fruit, raisins, and/or nuts and a bit of nutmeg. Drizzle powdered sugar glaze over the top after it cools.
