3 eggs
6 c. flour
1 lb. brown sugar
1 1/2 t. salt
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 t. soda
2 T. vanilla
2 -- 12 oz. pkgs. chocolate chips
1 lb. butter or oleo, softened
4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:

In a large bowl, beat oleo or butter till creamy -- add sugars and vanilla. Beat again, add eggs one at a time, then beat well. Combine flour, salt and soda. Add to egg mixture. Stir in nuts. Bake on cookie sheet at 350º for 14 minutes. Drop batter with ice cream scoop and flatten each cookie a little before baking. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with Pam. Put only 6 or 7 cookies on sheet and cool about 5 minutes before removing them. Wax paper will do to bake them on, but you have to change it each time.
