1 c. medium dark brown sugar
3 heaping T. corn starch
2 large eggs, separate
Dash of salt
2 c. half and half cream
vanilla to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and corn starch in heavy sauce pan. Add enough milk to dampen. Ad egg yolks and mix well. Add rest of milk. Mix and cook until thick. Put in baked pie shell and top with egg whites that have been beaten with 4 T. sugar. Bake in 400º oven until brown.
