2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. In bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In another bowl beat butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Beat eggs. Gradually add dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and ingredients for flavor options. Spread into ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 375º for 18-20 minutes.

Flavor options-
Granola Nut: Stir in 2 cups granola cereal, 1 cup raisins and 1 cup chopped walnuts.
Apricot Cashew: Stir in 2 cups granola cereal, 1 cup chopped dried apricots and 1 cup chopped dry-roasted cashews.
Apple Oatmeal: Decrease flour to 2 cups. Stir in 2 1/4 cup quick oats, 1 cup diced pared apples and 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Carrot Pineapple: Increase flour to 2 3/4 cups. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon allspice and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg. Stir in 1 cup grated carrots, 1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple, well drained, and 3/4 cup wheat germ.
