"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

1 pound hamb.
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce

sauce :
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 13 oz can pineapple chunks
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 small green pepper chopped

Mix ingredients; shape into balls. Cook over medium heat, turning occasionally until brown.

Cook meatballs in skillet and remove--Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple ( with syrup) , vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly, reduce heat. Add meatballs. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally. 10 mins. Stir in green pepper. Cover and simmer until crisp, 5 mins.

I triple this recipe to make a full crock pot. But only double the sauce part.
