2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. Karo light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. Red food coloring.
1/2 tsp. Anise flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, water, corn syrup and cream of tartar in a sauce pan. Boil to 300º using a candy thermometer. Add anise and red food coloring. Pour into a lightly greased pan. Crack while it is hardening (cooling).
