2 c. sugar 1 t. soda 1 c. buttermilk 1/4 t. salt 2 T. butter 2 1/2 c. pecan halves
In roast pan, mix first 4 ingredients. Cook over high heat for 5 minutes stirring constantly. Add butter and pecans and cook until it reaches a soft ball. Remove from heat, beat until thick, spoon onto greased platter or foil.
