1 1/2 C milk
2 C corn meal (I use yellow)
1/2 C flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup bacon grease

Directions:
Directions:
Put grease in an 8 inch iron skillet and put in 400 oven until smoking hot. Put milk in bowl and add salt and baking powder then corn meal and flour and mix well. Pour hot grease from iron skillet into your cornmeal mixture and mix well. Pour mixture back into hot skillet and bake at 400 for 20 to 30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
