1 Cup flour
1 Cup sugar
1Tsp. baking soda
1/2 Cup cocoa
1/2 Tsp. salt
1/2 Cup salad oil
1 Egg
1 Tsp. vanilla
1 Cup boiling hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Double the recipe for a crowd and bake in tube pan for 50 - 60 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

This is good with either gooey chocolate frosting or butter cream frosting. Definitely a family favorite. It never fails.
