5 potatoes, thinly sliced
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, halved and thinly sliced
Salt and pepper
1 can (about 28 oz.) stewed tomatoes, drained, juice reserved
1 cup frozen peas or 1 can (about 6 oz.) peas, drained

Spray 3 quart casserole with nonstick cooking spray. Boil potatoes in salted water in large saucepan until almost tender. Drain. Meanwhile, brown ground beef in medium skillet over medium heat, stirring to break up meat. Drain fat. Layer half of ground beef, half of potatoes, half of onion, salt, pepper, half of tomatoes and half of peas. Repeat layer. Top with reserved tomato juice. Cover; bake in preheated 350 degree oven about 40 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed.
