1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 slices bacon, diced
2 to 2 pounds chicken, cut up
1 cup uncooked regular rice
2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1 small can mushrooms
1 cup frozen green peas

Directions:
Directions:
In a large frying pan, cook onion and garlic with bacon until soft. Remove onion, garlic and bacon. Brown chicken pieces in same skillet, adding a little olive oil if needed. Return onion, garlic and bacon to pan with chicken. Stir in rice, tomato sauce and mushrooms. Simmer covered 40 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add green peas, simmer only until peas are heated through.
