7 lb cucumbers
8 pt cold water
2 cup household lime
2 qt cider vinegar
4 lb sugar
2 tsp salt
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp mixed spices
green cake coloring to suit

Directions:
Directions:
Wash (leave peel on) and slice cucumbers. In large container, mix cold water and lime. Stir good with wooden spoon; add sliced cucumbers. Let stand 24 hours; rinse real good. Drain; put in container. Cover with cold water. Let stand for 3 hours; drain good. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed, spices and green coloring. Put slices in this mixture. Let stand all night. Put on stove; boil slices and solution for 20 minutes. Can while hot and seal.
