1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup (4-ounces) uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 1/2 cups hot water
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef in large frying pan. Pour off drippings. Add macaroni, onion, salt,chili powder,sugar and pepper. Stir in the 2 and 1/2 cups hot water, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Combine tomato paste and remaining water. Add to meat mixture and continue cooking 10 minutes. Makes 4 servings.

I sometimes double the macaroni.

This is a nice quick meal that can be made from scratch in 30 minutes.
