2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 cup softened butte
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup coarsley grated raw apple 9about 2 medium)
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Suft together first 7 ingredients. In mixing bowl combine sugar, eggs, and butter and mix well. Stir in apple and about 1/2 of dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and blend. Add reminder of flour and blend in nuts.
Pourinto 1 greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes or until done when tested with toothpick.Cool 10 minutes and teun out to cooling rack.
