2 1/2 cups flour 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 t. baking soda 1 t. salt 2 t. baking powder 2 eggs 1 c. oil 1 t. vanilla 3 c. apples (no need to peel) nuts (optional)
Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately. Combine and add apples and nuts, if using. (The batter is supposed to be stiff, don't worry!) Bake in a greased 13 x 9 pan at 325 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream and orange peel.
