1/2 cup of dark corn syrup
1/2 cup of light corn syrup
3 eggs
1 cup of sugar (for creamier pie, use baker's sugar)
1 Tbsp of butter, melted
1 tsp of vanilla extract
2 cups of pecans
1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F
Combine the first five ingredients and stir well
Mix in pecans
Pour mixture into pie crust
Cover outer crust with thin strips of foil
Bake for 30 minutes
Uncover crust, and bake for another 25-30 minutes
Tap center of pie lightly, it should spring back when done

This is a specialty in Texas as pecans grow wild there. It is a Goode family favorite, and Granny's pie recipe leaves out the butter for a smoother pie filling. Sometimes we add a teaspoon of flour as well.
