2 c whole blanced almonds 1/2 c sugar 2 T butter or margarine 1/2 tsp vanilla
Melt sugar and butter in heavy skilled over medium heat, add almonds stirring constantly until almonds are toasted and sugar is golden brown, about 15 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Spread nuts on a sheet of aluminum foil. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Cool, break into 2 to 2 /12 inch clusters.
