"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Dissolve gelatin in 1 c boiling water. Stir in thawed berries, sugar and salt. Cool until it begins to thicken. Fold in whipped cream.
Line bottom of pan with cake and cover with other ingredients.

Trifle I added unsweetened frozen strawberries to Jello. It set up much faster. Layer Angel food cake pieces, strawberry Jello and whipped cream in bowl. I did not add whipped cream to Jello.
