Peel and stone peaches. Cook in as small amount of water as possible until they are reduced to pulp. Add ½ as much sugar as pulp and cook mixture until it is thick and clear, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Spices may be added if desired. Pack into clean, hot Ball Jars and seal at once.
