Ingredients:
Ingredients:
• 1 first cut beef brisket (3-4 lbs.)
• 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
• 1 tablespoon peanut oil
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 3 cups ginger ale
• 1 packet of Lipton’s onion soup mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Coat both sides of the brisket with paprika. In a dutch oven over medium high heat, heat the peanut oil. When it is hot, sear the brisket on all sides. Remove from the heat and stir in the ginger ale, soup mix, and onions. Cover the pot and roast in the oven for an hour and a half. Remove from the oven, turn it over, and place it back in the oven for another hour to an hour and a half. Take the brisket out and cool it down, but leave the liquid in the pan and reduce it over high heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Now cool the liquid down and puree the mixture in a blender for gravy. Put gravy into a small saucepan and re-heat it. Slice beef across the grain and cover it with foil. Place it in the oven on 250° for 20 minutes. Serve with gravy and steamed rice.
