C. butter (room temperature)
C. sugar
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 t. vanilla extract
2 eggs (pasteurized, since this is not cooked)
1 8 pie shell, baked
Whipped topping and chocolate shavings to top

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate. This can be done in a double boiler or done carefully in the microwave, checking constantly to avoid burning. Allow to cool slightly. With electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar together thoroughly. Add melted and cooled chocolate and beat until well blended. Add 1 egg and beat on high a full 5 minutes. Add the second egg and beat another 5 minutes. Add vanilla and beat for one minute. Pour into pie shell and chill. Top with whipped topping and chocolate shavings and serve.
