1 - 1-1/2 lbs. round steak
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 large onion
10 fresh mushrooms
oil
water

Directions:
Directions:
Cut steak into serving size pieces. Mix flour, salt & pepper and spread on cutting board or wax paper. Coat steak with flour and pound with meat mallet or back side of large butcher knife to tenderize meat. Beat both sides of meat. Heat oil, on high heat, in skillet and brown steak quickly on both sides. Transfer to large pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Add onion and simmer for 2 to 3 hours. You may have to add more water. Add mushrooms 1/2 hour before serving. If gravy needs thickening mix 1 cup water with 1/2 cup flour - shake well - add to steak and stir. Season to taste.
